The inspiration behind Gyasi handcrafted bracelets was cultivated from rich Ghanaian traditions and culture. Recent travels have allowed me to further explore the intricacies of the beautiful beadwork found in my bracelets and representative of my heritage.

 

The beads are passionately crafted by tools and techniques that have been passed down through generations. Collected raw materials such as recycled glass are crushed into a fine powder and then ceramic dye is added for coloring. Various clay molds are used to form the bead shapes through a heating method. Once the glass beads are cooled down, they are glazed and painted. This specialized process creates the uniqueness in each bead.

 

The heart and soul poured into these beads inspires me to help the artisans and their families. I hope my designs will bring joy, happiness and pride to all that wear them.
